I am personally thrilled that you have decided to visit our website, as are the other members of Twin City church of Christ. We hope that it means that you are planning to visit us, or that you are seeking to find the truth about the church found in the Bible, or both.
It is an honor and privilege, but most importantly a most serious charge, to preach the gospel of Christ for the church here in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. My family and I are extremely fortunate to be serving with the wonderful members of the Lord’s church here. Neither they nor I are perfect, but we strive to live according to the Bible: the inspired, infallible and inerrant word of God.
It is exciting to be living in such a thriving and diverse area such as Lexington County. The potential for growth here is phenomenal, for the community, for the individual, and most of all for the church. There are approximately 280,000 people living here and only a handful of churches of Christ. In neighboring Saluda County, there are about 20,000 people and no congregations of the Lord’s church meet there.
So the work we have before us is tremendous, but we have a solid core of Christians who believe in evangelism and want to see all of their friends and neighbors go to heaven. Isn’t that what it is all about? Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10), and He gave us the great commission to go and do the same (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15,16; Luke 24:46,47).
It is my hope and prayer that you will join us in worshiping in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and decide to follow the New Testament pattern to be forgiven of your sins (Acts 2:38), to be added to the church (Acts 2:41,47), to be a faithful Christian (Revelation 2:10), and ultimately go to live with God in heaven.
